When marketing gurus collide
I'm looking at a couple of offers from two different guys about running a newsletter business.
This is a sturdy topic in which I'm engaged, and both of these gentlemen are credible.
What's interesting is they are both prescribing two completely different approaches to the business.
One is talking about kind of lo-fi approach - writing about what you like, making sure there's an audience and that kind of thing.
The other guy is talking about building a very big business aggressively using paid advertising and a clearly defined pricing structure.
Again, both of these are credible. They're both decent ways to approach the business.
But you don't necessarily have to follow either one of these. You can do a mix or a hybrid approach.
What they're actually selling is themselves.
They're trying to get their customer base to trust them, to listen to them, to believe them and to buy their stuff about the newsletter business.
There's nothing wrong with that.
What both of these gentlemen have in common is very clear to us.
They are both using emotional triggers to sell people on the big advantage that is the opportunity of running a newsletter, and then using subsidiary triggers such as expertise and secret knowledge, authority and so on to convince people to join their tribe.
Of course this is what all marketers are doing.
And that really is the takeaway. It might be confusing at first to look at both offers and say they're saying completely different things.
That is not the case.
They are saying the same exact thing using emotional triggers.
They're saying I have a really big opportunity for you and you can trust me because of X, Y and Z.
So if you want to learn the base truth about how to build your own offer, whether or not it is in the newsletter space, make sure to subscribe to the paid training section.
That is where we demonstrate how to use emotional triggers to write e-mail copy.
This is the basis of all copywriting, all advertising and all marketing.
It is easy to understand, as easy as reading this e-mail.
Because of course I use my own emotional triggers. I'm bringing up a topic and displaying my expertise and describing my secret knowledge.
That is all there is to this.
Make sure to upgrade your soup for subscription to the paid section so you can watch videos such as the one I created to write this message.
Thank you for your attention and have a great day.
